Leadership and Staff Management
- Oversee and support the Cleaning Supervisor and cleaning staff in daily operations.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and implement development plans to maintain a high-performing team.
- Develop and manage staff rotas to ensure optimal workforce allocation.
Cleaning Operations Oversight
- Plan, monitor, and optimize the cleaning schedule to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and to 5-star standards.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are logged, tracked, and monitored in the Work Management System (WMS) for accountability and efficiency.
- Identify and implement strategies to improve cleaning processes and reduce downtime.
Inventory and Resource Management
- Manage and monitor the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to avoid shortages.
- Conduct regular stock checks and forecast inventory requirements based on usage trends.
- Ensure cost-effective procurement and proper storage of cleaning supplies.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify that cleaning standards are met and address any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to align cleaning operations with broader site objectives.
Reporting and Communication
- Compile reports on cleaning activities, team performance, and operational challenges for review by the Facilities Manager.
- Highlight completed tasks, pending issues, and proposed solutions in monthly updates.
- Act as a liaison between the cleaning team and the Facilities Manager to address escalated concerns and operational feedback.
Emergency and Ad-Hoc Cleaning
- Respond to emergency cleaning requests, such as spills or unexpected messes, ensuring swift resolution.
- Manage ad-hoc cleaning tasks while maintaining routine operations.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience (3+ years) managing cleaning teams in a high-end or large-scale environment.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in scheduling and team management.
- Familiarity with Work Management Systems (WMS) or similar task-tracking software.
- Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations.
